Where to send recommendation letters for tmdsas

You can submit your application before TMDSAS has received your letters of evaluation.
Your letters will be added to your application as they are received and they will not cause a delay to your application processing time.

Letters should not be sent to TMDSAS until after the application opens. Do not have any letters delivered to TMDSAS until you have started your application.

Letter Requirements By School Type

Dental Letters of Evaulation

Dental applicants are required to submit:

• One Health Professions Committee Packet OR Three individual letters of evaluation
• One evaluation letter must come from a dentist
• Optional: One extra letter (not included in HP Committee Packet) may be submitted in addition to the required letters

Medical Letters of Evaluation

Medical applicants are required to submit:

• One Health Professions Committee Packet OR
• Three individual letters of evaluation
• Optional: One extra letter (not included in HP Committee Packet) may be submitted in addition to the required letters

Letter Requirements

All letters of evaluation must include the following criteria in order to be accepted by TMDSAS. Any letters that do not meet these standards will be rejected.

• Be written on official letterhead (personal or professional letterhead is accepted)
• Include the evaluator's contact information (specifically a phone number and/or email address)
• Include the evaluator's signature
• Include the applicant's name
• Letter must be dated. Admissions committees will take the date of the letter into consideration during review, with a strong preference for letters written after May 1, 2023.
• Written in English

Veterinary Evaluation Forms

Veterinary applicants are required to submit:

• Three Veterinary Medicine Applicant Evaluation Forms directly to TMDSAS
• One evaluation must be completed by a veterinarian

Only digital submission of Veterinary Medicine Applicant Evaluation Forms will be accepted from your evaluators. No accompanying letter is required or desired by the veterinary school. Letters of evaluation will not be accepted nor will they be included with your application.
